Brownie Batter blizzard was really good, I'm glad it is back on the menu! Service was fast though the drive-thru.

It was yummy. The fries were nice and hot, the hamburger buns were fresh and soft. We enjoyed our food immensely.

The fact that this Dairy Queen was out of vanilla ice cream broadened my flavor horizons and changed my life.

My parents forced me to eat vanilla ice cream my entire life, a chocolate ice cream cone nearly killed my Dad back in Vietnam. I was told if I ever ate chocolate I would be disowned. I came to this dairy queen and ordered vanilla ice cream at the drive thru, feeling the weight of childhood trauma upon my shoulders. "We are out of vanilla ice cream," said the hardworking young man at the window. I almost drove away without another word.

When suddenly, years of repressed passion filled my heart, I decided this was the day, my first step of independence, "Ummmm I guess I'll take chocolate then" I stammered. The words felt foreign, yet empowering in my mouth, but not as foreign as the semi melted chocolate ice cream cone I purchased. It tasted like freedom, like for the first time I was truly alive.

I came back home and my parents could tell from my rebellious attitude (and the chocolate ice cream running down my face) that I had eaten chocolate.

Walking away from the house that was no longer my own I felt afraid to face the world alone, yet empowered by the chocolate ice cream of the Dell Rapids Dairy Queen I immediately obtained a 6 figure job with an engineering firm and now live with my wife and 2.5 children in a New York penthouse.

My children now eat whatever ice cream they want and we make a yearly pilgrimage to the Dell Rapids Dairy Queen. Thank you Dell Rapids Dairy Queen, I am in your debt.
