Covert Cellars

The beers here are in my top 5. I live in Milwaukee and still think this is better than most. Was on a road trip and went to 6 different states and 12 breweries across those and this was the best one we've been to. On par with Eagle Park in Milwaukee and Mountains Walking in Bozeman.

We were passing through Sioux Falls not long ago and happened to stop into this brewery. I’m an avid beer drinker and have been to tons of breweries all over the country. This place makes the top of my list. They have some of the most interesting and complex sours I’ve ever had. Every single beer I tried was outstanding and the owners/staff were just as incredible. They are passionate, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. You can tell by talking to them that they care so deeply about their craft, although you needn’t speak to them to figure that out. The beer they serve is next level. On our way back home we had to stop in again, knowing that it may be awhile until we return. It’s been a little over a month since we were in South Dakota and I still think about this place often. I plan on coming back to Sioux Falls just for Covert Cellars, if nothing else.

Found this spot on our way through town. If you like delicious sour beer this place is a must stop. We tried several and were blown away by their beers. Super tasty and a really neat space.

A great addition to a good Sioux Falls beer scene. Covert makes some of the best sours in the Midwest. They offer a good variety of flavors some beers have fruits some do not. They also have a good selection of guest taps if you're not looking for a sour beer. Looking forward to their continued expansion into IPAs and other styles. The space is welcoming with a great outdoor seating. Service has been very friendly.
