River's Edge

There aren’t many eateries for foodies in Yankton, this is as close as you’ll get. This wasn’t a culinary experience however the food is decent (they definitely try to have fun things on the menu). The atmosphere is cute with the outdoor patio and wine room. It’s on the river but you can’t see the river from inside the restaurant. The service was great! A little too attentive at times.

Just had our first meal out in Yankton and chose River's Edge and what an excellent choice it was. Our server was Alex who was charming, polite, attentive without being intrusive and totally efficient. The food was excellent, we started with the charcuterie board, a pleasant mix of cheese, meats, fruits and olives. My wife had the citrus salmon which was cooked to perfection with a very delicate citrus taste, I had the maple jam and bacon topped pork chops, also cooked to perfection without the maple glaze being overly sweet. We both had the bread pudding with whiskey sauce which was excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant to all that are looking for a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is great. My husband had the lobster mac, which was incredible (full of cheese and goodness, and they don't skimp on the lobster!) I had the salmon, which was also really great and a larger portion than I expected. Strongly recommend eating here if you want a nicer place!

We ate here over the summer and loved sitting out on the patio. The food was delicious and while the restaurant was busy, the staff were attentive. The atmosphere inside and out is a lovely. We enjoyed it and can’t wait to go again.

Amazing atmosphere, great food, kind staff. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, yet affordable, this is the place. And during the warm months - their patio next to the river is "the place" to dine!
