VEGA Cafe & Smokehaus

One of my family's favorites! It's definitely worth the trip to Norris for this gem. The food is next level comfort food. One of our favorites is the smoked meatloaf and make sure you try the pimento mac 'n' cheese. The pulled pork and the wings are fabulous as well. They have weekly lunch, dinner, and dessert specials too.

Unique food great portions. Quaint little place. The static menu is simple. I'd suggest watching the website and venturing out when they have a special that you like. That seems to be their main focus.

The word is getting out that one of Knoxville's most talented and beloved chefs has resurfaced in his old Norris stomping grounds. Run, don't walk, to VEGA and enjoy the innovative twists John Fletcher is dealing out from his kitchen and smoker. It's a lovely drive as well and a great excuse to stretch your legs and dive into the most delicious BBQ in the region.

I do not normally leave reviews, but HOLY COW! The food was AMAZING! My husband had the smoked chicken with Mac-n-cheese with the perfect kick and said it was by far the best he has ever had. I had homemade (really) potato salad and the chicken club, not the cheap chicken-fresh organic-avocado-phenomenal! We took the peanut butter ice cream pie to go and my husband said we should have ordered 2. Best dessert we have ever had from a restaurant! The chef is on point and I am so glad he chose Norris!!! ????????????

This is a destination restaurant. Unless you live in Norris, it's not convenient. HOWEVER, DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU! GO!!

The owner was once the chef at the American Embassy in Prague. Let that sink in. Have known John since 1990. After regularly eating his creations for years, it's been far too many since have had the opportunity. Went to Vega last night, MAN! Have I missed eating Fletch's food!!

I am not one that normally writes reviews, much less one that mentions beans and greens. We had wings, smoked meatloaf, chicken pot pie, mac-n-cheese, greens, beans and salad wedge. All of it was incredible. The beans, greens, and assortment of homemade sauces though... no words. GO!
