Kume Japanese Cuisine: Sushi & Hibachi

What a great find! We were visiting the Knoxville area from SC, and we found this restaurant via Google. Great service, great food, very decent portions, AND affordable. The waiter even gave our daughters a free order of mochi because they were out of salmon sushi. Highly recommend.

The food here is fantastic. The prices are reasonable. They are always accommodating of my food allergy (sesame seeds!) and are knowledgeable about their offerings. Tonight, our sushi was made with extraordinary attention to detail, and was so lovely I had to share it with the world. We also decided to try something new with the shrimp and veggie tempura -- light, fluffy, crispy, delicious. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was calm. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food and reasonable price! John and the rest of the wait staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience! Don't let the appearance on the outside make you miss out on some great Asian cuisine!!

Very polite staff, when we eat in they great us kindly remembering us from takeout. It's a comfortable atmosphere and the sushi is great. Also when we got some sushi unaware it had spice sauce (not on menu) they replaced it with something we already knew we liked without hassle.
