Great food, really sweet people that have run it since I was a kid. And you can't beat the prices. .35 cent wontons, 1.50 for a huge egg roll, and 5.50 for the cashew chicken. They're an Oak Ridge treasure.
Great tasting and great price..
Miss Betty and her husband are amazing people that don't get the recognition they deserve. No matter how long you've been gone, they remember you, welcome you with big smiles and remember what you like to order! Hundreds of people flock to their tiny restaurant, stand outside patiently in the elements even, just to get their cashew chicken and homemade egg rolls for less than you would spend for one meal at a fast food restaurant. The vibes are always positive, homecoming and it's inspiring to watch her and her husband happily work as a two man team.
They are the ONLY reason I go to Oak Ridge. Nothing else in that town is worth seeing. O.R. is lucky to have such a memorable landmark!
I'M IN LOVE! Miss Betty's is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! And, she Is ADORABLE ! By far the best Egg roll in East Tennessee( let the grease drip for a minute, It is afterall, fried food, so one can't really complain)or really anywhere that I've trid!
This place is about as hole in the wall as you can get and it is so good! Miss Betty and her husband Jim always welcome everyone with a smile on their face. If it is your first time going make sure to get a few wontons and an egg roll you wont be sorry. The menu also consists of Cashew Chicken (order as spicy as you want, she grows her own peppers), Broccoli and Beef, and Sweet and Sour chicken. All of which are cooked right there in front of you. Also if you really enjoy eating spicy food you can bring in any pepper and she will throw it in with your dish! Overall I would 10/10 reccomend taking a lunch and heading over to say hi Miss Betty whenever you get the chance!
