Shoney's - Oak Ridge

Cafeteria food and priced as such but if you leave hungry it's your own fault. The breaded cod was tasty and the hostess was very attentive keeping our glasses full. Dessert was weak spot, even soft serve ice cream would be an improvement over the dessert items.

This Shoney's has great food. And was recently freshened up with a modern renovation. The service on my last visit wasn't great but I think it's because some employees had not shown up to work so they were understaffed. Still worth a visit. Best breakfast around for sure.

Douglas Addams would love this place. It's out of this world good. Well the fish is anyways. My family had a wonderful evening here. The buffet and salad bar, had everything you would expect to have on a Shoney's buffet. However I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the catfish. It was amazing. My kids don't usually eat fish an I had no problem getting them to eat it. I will definitely go back just for the fish. So long and thanks for all the fish Shoney's.

My wife and I love Shoney's. Especially the breakfast bar. Wish they'd give fried bologna a try on it. Not that expensive. The remodel is nice except for the seating (reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The older booths were better and felt more sturdy. They also didn't slide around easily like the new ones do unless they remedied that problem.

My husband and I love eating here. After church, we always stop by and have their delicious buffet meals. Their fish is great. Chicken is so good. They have a nice variety of food to choose from. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are great. Feel welcomed and at home here. This is one of our favorites.
