The Seafood Place

Dana and I had dinner at The Seafood Place Tullahoma. Started with sharing Not the Gumbo, delicious, then we both ordered Spectacular Crab Cakes, smashed potatoes, asparagus, and broccoli all delicious. The crab cake was the finest we have ever had, anywhere. Friends Terry & Roger walked in, and they ordered the Burger and loved it. Beautiful atmosphere and service was fantastic as well. If you've not been yet you need to go, you will love it.

We were very excited about trying The Seafood Place for the first time. We ordered half a dozen oysters Rockefeller and two portions of Not The Gumbo, which came with pink shrimp, lump crab meat, crawfish tails and andouille sausage in a creamy chowder with a scoop of rice. The oysters were excellent and we truly loved them. We wanted to love the NTG also, but we had a couple of problems: the bowls we were served were not hot enough temperature-wise and too danged hot spice-wise. I think the andouille was the culprit for the latter problem and the spiciness from it over-flavored the rest of it. When we figured out it was too spicy the temperature no longer mattered. We ate the delicious seafood from the NTG and left the rest. I don't recall the description of Not The Gumbo mentioning that it was spicy. It really should give a warning. For that reason alone, I gave four stats. Next time we go - and there will be a next time - looking forward to trying more items and giving a five-star review.

There should be a line out the DOOR of this place all the time! I got the oysters & salmon bites and they were incredible. My husband got the Wagyu burger & it was out of this world. No sauce needed. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Tullahoma again.

Well gang, we have found our new favorite restaurant. It’s my Birthday today and this was the place we choose celebrating 68!!
The seafood is awesome, service fantastic and it has a coast seafood restaurant feel!! If you like real seafood this is your place to go to!!!! We started with 1 1/2 doz raw oysters. Then I’m having the shrimp and grits while Kathy is having the grilled garlic parmesan salmon. Come check em out, you won’t be disappointed!!!

i’ve been eating here and buying raw seafood since the first location opened. i have never had anything that was less than excellent from these folk; crab cakes, seafood bisque, fish tacos, raw tuna, etc. today, i had the best seafood eggs benedict of my life (chesapeake style with crab). i’ve eaten seafood from all over the gulf, and i can honestly say that this is as good as it gets. what i can get within 30 minutes of home from the seafood place, for the prices they offer, is worth every penny to me. one of the most underrated additions to our community in 10 years.
