Great food, great service. Best onion rings I ever had! Everything we ordered was top notch.
My girlfriend and I recently visited Char for the second time. The first night that we went, the restaurant was clearly having a bad night and our experience was not very good.
However, the manager, Kim came and talked to us before we left, providing us with a gift card so they could make it right on our next visit.
Kim and co. delivered the second time around. The service, food and evening all went great. Kim was there again so we were able to thank her in person, but wanted to make sure that she gets the credit she deserves.
I LOVED the food here! I had Sauteed crab claws and fried green tomatoes for appetizer (super yummy), Lamb chops for entree, and pecan pie for dessert. Best freakin' lamb chops I've ever had in my life, so flavorful & tender! Also had voodoo lady cocktail throughout. Overall five star food and service (had Ed as a server and he was very kind and attentive.) Thanks for a great first experience--will definitely be coming again and bringing friends!
Second Review: This is my second experience with Char. I wished I could right a new review. This is amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere and very respectful staff. This time, we were 6, everyone were so happy of their food. We tried their lamb too, so so good! It's going to be my favorite place to eat in a romantic atmosphere. Thank you
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. A MUCH better value than next door True Foods. Ordered both the steak and blue salad and the blackened red fish sandwich. Both were seasoned deliciously and the salad had just the right amount of dressing. Got $5 mimosas that were almost entirely champagne with just a splash of orange juice.
Our waiter wasn't too annoying and was very helpful. Compared to the overpriced True Foods, I got a delicious fish sandwich with fries, a large salad with steak and blue cheese, and 2 mimosas for $47.00. At True Foods, that exact same meal would cost around $70, no lie. Char, great work and I will be back to try more of the menu.
