Hermitage House Smorgasbord

Warm and friendly service. Good comfort food. Lots of desserts to pick from. A little dated looking inside, but neat and clean. Almost makes you feel like you're visiting at grandmas for the evening! ????

What a great restaurant! Everyone is so friendly and there are many food options to choose from. From the outside, you would think the restaurant would be small but looks are deceiving! The restaurant is huge and the decor really gives you that at home feeling!

I'm currently pregnant and was craving chicken and dressing and couldn't find any anywhere, so finally we came across this beauty of a restaurant and they had some. They closed about 45 minutes after we called and it was a 27 minute route to get there. So we packed up and went. We got there and the sweetest lady at the front counter had set me aside a whole plate of chicken and dressing just to be sure I got me some. Not only was this the best customer service, but the chicken and dressing tasted just like my grandma used to make it, and that's hard to do.

Food was delicious & service was good. Food served buffet style. Salad bar, down home cooking & plenty of choices for dessert. Quiet atmosphere. Hadn't been here in years & was glad to see restaurant atmosphere & quality has not changed.

It was a good meal. The fried chicken was great and so was the pecan pie. Everything else was pretty good. The decor, music, and food selection was straight out of the 80's. I felt like I was time warped back to my childhood going out for Sunday lunch with grandma. I will definitely eat here again, and I recommend this place for families. All the food is straightforward and easy on the tummy.
