I thought this place was pretty good, but it isn't my favorite BBQ in Nashville. I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich. I didn't like how the chicken was cut into weird small pieces and there was a mix of white and dark meat. However, the sauce and bun were great. All of the sides were solid including the white queso mac, corn pudding and cinnamon apples. They have a decent beer selection. My husband had a frozen boozy Arnold Palmer and loved it. The peanut butter banana pudding was very interesting. The atmosphere is definitely very family friendly. There were several screaming children in the restaurant which made it difficult to hear other people at the table. I'm glad I tried it, but will probably stick with Martin's for my future BBQ cravings.
I've been here a few times and really love it. Katie was a great host on this particular trip (a week ago), who answered lots of questions and made suggestions when I was too hungry to be decisive. (And she was very patient with a super weird guest near me too!) And the food... everything is excellent including the sides which is a bbq rarity, in my opinion.
HoneyFire BBQ is legit the best BBQ in Nashville. Hands down. No contest. No kidding. If you disagree, have you tried the SMOKED SAUSAGE??
I was a fan of HoneyFire even before we tried it, and I admit, we didn't try it the first few times thinking "sausage is just sausage, what could be different?"
Well. This changes everything. I do love pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, all the sides... but THE SAUSAGE IS FIRE. HoneyFire to be exact.
So next time we go, I'll be getting the sausage and cheese basket and trying the house made pork rinds. And probably more sausage to go also.
I'll be counting down the days until we meet again, sweet, sweet sausage.....
If you're looking for great barbecue, this is an awesome place to eat. The atmosphere is nice. The food is so good. I was actually surprised to see any one-star reviews, I'm starting to think those were just trolls. Because this place and the owner Shane totally rock! It is currently the best place in Bellevue to eat.
I normally joke that salads are just what food eats. But Honey Fire's BBQ Salad is something I crave on the regular. Their BBQ is so juicy without being greasy. It's so amazing! And the atmosphere is so laid back and chill. This is definitely a top BBQ stop in Nashville.
