Great place to eat. Small menu but I appreciate seeing a smaller menu. People need to realize that a smaller menu means food will always be fresher, but it also encourages the servers to care about the menu since they can remember favorites and recommendations. Izzy advised for small plates as well as her favorites. Very responsive and even had the politeness to mention about the 18% gratuity surcharge.
Exceptional meal. Great service. Such a great meal. Some of the highlights were matcha, beef tartar, onigiri! Every single item was so tasty. Price was very reasonable. Huge portions. My only regret is that I don’t live in Nashville so I can’t come every day.
First time trying beef tartare and it was SO GOOD! The beef was very high quality and had a nice, creamy texture. The onigiri were also amazing and each one had an interesting flavor stuffed to it, my favorite probably being the curry flavor! The Katsu curry itself was not my personal favorite, but it was well made and had juicy chicken. Lastly, the udon was perfectly cooked with the noodles being a nice, springy texture, with the duck adding plenty of depth to the broth. I also got this peach soda which was so refreshing!!! This place is so worth the wait!
Wish I could give this place 6 stars!! Everything was perfect, even in the midst of a busy service. It was hard to choose which dishes to order, but I don’t think you can go wrong here. The inari and chicken sandwich were so delicious, and don’t skip dessert! The melon cream soda is such a fun one! Thank you!!!
Agreed with the other recent reviews: worth the hype. Service was fantastic, food was obviously good, and did not leave disappointed. Got there early on Saturday, which seemed to be the right idea. Didn't have to wait, parked right outside, but did sit in the common foyer. Absolutely recommend whenever you can. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs. Took plenty home, but would do it again! The creme brulee was out of this world good. Don't skip.
