Party Fowl

It was our good fortune to be changing planes at Nashville airport with our gate in terminal D directly across from Party Fowl, a sit-down or takeout restaurant featuring Nashville hot chicken in many forms on the menu. Pay attention to the heat chart when ordering your meal. Even “mild” had my neck and scalp sweating. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The bar even features local beers.

The hot chicken Cubano is a unique take on hot chicken, which I enjoyed. The fries were great, nice and thin, crispy, with a little chew in the middle. The bourbon Bushwacher was just what I needed before my flight. It was busy so it took quite a while to get my food, but it was worth it. I would definitely come back here—cant same the same about Prince’s.

I had the hot chicken I choose mild for my heat level which had a little kick, came with extra sharp cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and dill pickle on grilled brioche bun with ranch. Nice size portion. Overall it was pretty good.

The staff is great but the seating is way too close…especially during these times. The staff and patrons are tripping over each other because tables are too close. People in the airport have luggage making the situation worse. The food overall is good but the mild chicken is too hot and the staff even warns you. Mild needs to be mild.
