Prince's Hot Chicken Shack SoBro

Came all the way from Houston, TX only to get there and it be closed. The employee was soo sweet though. We mentioned we came from far and would be leaving soon and she gave us a plate to try! Such a sweet gesture! We were told this was the original hot chicken in Nashville. Tasty and definitely hot! I didn't get the employees name but thanks for allowing us to experience this!

First off, the Prince's Hot Chicken is a food truck at this location. That said, the place is pretty nice, lots of other stuff to drink, chill and play while eating your hot chicken.

Yes, Prince's hot chicken is a must try in Nashville and this location doesn't disappoint.

The so-called Nashville "hot chicken" isn't really my thing. Plus the guys who run the truck have this kind of laid-back "if you don't want to wait for our chicken then someone else will" attitude that's charming and annoying at the same time.

Still, many Nashville locals seem to think that Prince's is the first and best hot chicken. Who am I to argue?

If you visit Nashville and skip over a plate from Prince’s, you are doing it WRONG — they’ve got some of the best chicken in the entire city and it’s undoubtedly worth the wait. Kill some time with basketball or ping pong over on the side of the patio or enjoy a little live music on the inside. Also be generous to yourself about your spice tolerance; when Prince’a says hot, they MEAN hot.

We stumbled onto this place where they had a Prince's hot chicken food truck and decided to see what all the hype was about. They say about about 30 minutes once we ordered and I said no thanks, but my wife wanted to wait. Fast forward 90 minutes later we finally got the food. It's fried "hot" chicken!? Really!? Over 90 minute wait time and the line is longer than the new iPhone release!? If you have nothing better to do and love to wait 90 plus minutes for fast food.. this is the place.
