Amazing service and even better food! Our server was attentive and the chef’s were fun to watch. The food was divine! Layers of flavors! The shrimp and grits, basmati bowl and arugula salad were all immaculate and perfectly cooked. The ambiance is intimate yet relaxed. Would definitely return when in Nashville!

Really enjoyed our evening at The Chef and I. Super laid back and fun environment. The open kitchen concept was super impressive and runs very well. I didn’t spend much time chatting with chefs, as I was enjoying the scene and views. Seems like a place where the chefs would be more than happy to talk and explain things to you as well though. I am a chef myself, so just didn’t want to go down that route. I did love the food. It was very good, well plated, and nice portions. We tried a lot of food. And there was only a few things I wasn’t over the moon for. All in all, very nice restaurant! And could see them being successful for many years to come. Watching the patrons that were around bar, definitely were loving the show!!

We had such a wonderful experience here. We made a reservation for a Sunday night, and it was needed as there were no other tables open when we arrived. There was parking on the street. We were seated at the bar, so we were able to watch the chefs prepare the food which was so much fun. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable, about both the restaurant and the food/menu, and was able to provide recommendations. The food was just divine. Perfectly artistic and delicious. We sampled a good amount of the menu, and nothing was less than perfect. Two in our party ordered the fish of the day which was Alaskan halibut, and after we ordered we were told that there was only one halibut fillet left. They were very accommodating, offering suggestions and recommendations on alternatives. The alternative we chose was the scallops, and they threw in an extra which was a kind gesture. The rest of the staff were interactive and friendly, and overall we had a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend, and would definitely come back.

What a wonderful brunch! The atmosphere was amazing. I love how you can see the chefs at work around you. The service was amazing and the menu was incredible. I had a shrimp and grits and I will definitely get it again. Maybe next time I’ll do the chef menu / tasting menu. They also served some proper bottomless mimosas
