The District Bar & Kitchen

Nice for lounging. We were getting a quick bite before going to TPAC. Quick is not in their vocabulary. Drinks pleased my friends, the beer selection was typical. Food was satisfying.

Wow! What a great place. Good food, good prices.

We are in Nashville staying at the Indigo Hotel which has incredible service. The restaurant could use some training of their employees and take note from the hotel employees. I called down to the restaurant this morning asking for a to go order. We wanted to split a brakfast croissant and I asked them to cut it in half and I was rudely told they were too busy to do that. As if because I wasn't sitting in the restaurant I wasn't a real customer and couldn't order what I want how I wanted it. And I'm not sure how you are too busy to cut a huge breakfast sandwich in half to make it manageable to eat. Honestly after that I chose to not eat there and went out to eat. And I won't eat at the District Bar & Kitchen for the rest of our week trip. Customer service is important in a service industry.

Originally I gave them a one star review because of the above but first thing this morning I got a call from the hotel manager with an apology and an offer for free breakfast. I wasn't expecting either. The hotel service rooms and everything is the best best I've experience honestly and ice stayed in many nice hotels. I'm in a hotel a few times a month sometimes and I wish they could all have the service the hotel indigo does

The burger was really good, and I loved the pepper jelly on there. The bacon was also really good.

This was my first stay here and I can’t believe how very hospitable every staff member we encountered was. From the lady who checked us in last night, to the housekeeper we past in our hallway, to Cali & Cecilia in The District restaurant this morning they each seemed genuine their interest in us having a wonderful stay. The property was clean and had a great boutique feel and contemporary decor. It is experiences like this that make Hotel Indigo a top pick for us when we are visiting a new city. Keep up the GREAT work.
