Oh Wendell Smith you and your little restaurant. Love this place! this is definitely a community spot, folks have been coming here for many many years table so close together you got to get up so someone can get out but everyone talks to one another you're only in arms reach away! The food is no frills... what I had was okay but I'm willing to go back and try something else. Wait staff was absolutely darling and friendly loved our server!

Great home cooking in the north Nashville area. A decent amount of choices and great service. The place has a relaxing old time feel to it. Can be busy during lunch but the food comes out fast enough.

Amazing food. We've been several times over the years and everything on the menu appears to be just awesome. The food came out in very little time, the server was very attentive, and the atmosphere is old-school and cozy. We love this place.

We were visiting Nashville for vacation and wanted to eat at a locally owned restaurant for breakfast. We picked Wendell Smith's. It's nothing fancy and it's evident it's been a staple of the community for many years. The food was excellent. The bacon made to perfection, biscuits were so soft and fluffy, sausage gravy was spot on and breakfast potatoes with a little ketchup and hot sauce hit the spot. Quaint little diner.
