Really cute place with good food and great coffee.
I enjoyed the breakfast and lunch sandwiches. What an awesome place!
So quaint and the food is always delicious! There is really cute decor to buy so take some spending money.
The breakfast is old school good. I love a homemade breakfast.
This business is part of Oakland's history. The original building was built in the late 1800's, then rebuilt in the 50's. It has been the local Mercantile for years, but now it's the new breakfast hotspot.
Today I had the fried bologna biscuit and a white chocolate, toffee cappuccino. My wife had the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and the same cappuccino.
Bologna was fried perfectly, the cheddar cheese was a sharp and went well with the buttermilk biscuit and egg. The coffee wasn't bitter or overly sweet, a perfect blend. Overall it was a really good country breakfast.
Pros: Local owned, cute country posh decor, good food, good price point, friendly staff and owners, the history of the building.
Cons: limited menu, closes early, is not on the main drag, limited seating
Country posh decor,
We love The Store. Very leisurely eat a sandwich or plate while playing chess or checkers or while just visiting with each other. Great place to hang out and read. Homemade desserts!
