Cook's Boathouse Restaurant

We both had cheeseburgers, and we really liked them. The hand-ground burgers were very tasty, and the crinkle-cut French fries and fried okra were nice and crisp. We sat outside to have a view of the water. All the burgers on the menu were less than $9 each. The waitress and rest of the staff were attentive and helpful, and if we're looking for a sit-down place for burgers and fries again, we'll come back.

My family and I happened upon Cook's Boathouse while traveling through the area and were quite pleased. Our food was perfectly cooked and very delicious. The menu reminded me of the good ol' home cooked meals I grew up with. My husband and daughter shared the fried pickles and had great things to say about them. I had the swiss garden chicken with green beans and a fresh crisp side salad. The chicken was wonderful. I would definitely order it again. They had a nice kids menu with great choices for picky children. Our little one got the cheeseburger slider and really enjoyed it. She loved that it was served on a sweet dinner roll! The staff was kind and courteous. The restaurant was super clean including the restroom. If in the area, we will for sure be back!!

The view here is fantastic provided your visit is during full pool on the lake. The food is good home cooking with a wide variety on the menu. The salads are fresh and generous.
The parking is tight and well laid out. Additional parking is available on the lakeside below the restaurant.
The staff is friendly, competent and hard working. We enjoyed our visit immensely. It reminded us of dining on the lakeside in northern Minnesota.

Visited from out of town. Food is basic bar fare and was good. I ordered the club with fries, my husband got the catfish with fries and he enjoyed it. Its kid friendly which is a plus. Being able to dock and walk up to the restaurant was what brought us there.
