We’ve been going to the southern craft barbecue in Johnson City for a few years now every year for our anniversary we stay at the boutique hotel and the restaurant is on the property but now they have open one in Greenville Tennessee so we’ve been going there on the weekends and this place is excellent good bartenders good service the everything we’ve had so far there at this new location is excellent. I would highly recommend this place just remember every restaurant has good days and bad days but this one seems to have more good days. I had the wings which are excellent with blue cheese. My wife had the turkey gobbler sandwich, which was loaded with turkey and falling out good job, southern craft barbecue this one they knocked out of the park the turkey gobbler.
When this place was Stan's, it never looked this inviting. Even better is the upstairs has been remodeled into a cozy bar. Lindsey is a top-notch waitress, and the food was sooo good. We had the pulled pork, and the firebird sandwich. My wife even enjoyed the coleslaw; that's a compliment in itself. I had the chance to talk with the assistant manager, and she showed me the upstairs. My compliments to the owners for elevating this establishment, and increasing the parking.
We arrived to find the parking lot completely full. Upon arriving at the desk, we found it to be a 30 to 45 minute wait. 30 minutes later, we were seated in a spacious booth. Our server was prompt. She got our drinks and our order in quickly. We got the deviled egg appetizer. It was so good.
I ordered the ribs, red potato salad, and pepper jack grits.
My husband got the smoked chicken, brisket, cucumber and tomato salad, and baked beans.
Both came with toast. Neither of us could eat it all.
I compare these ribs with Tony Gore ( my personal fav). So delicious.
Everything was good. Clean. Fast. Nice.
We will be back.
We went on a Tuesday evening about 5pm, not long after they opened. We only had a 5 minute wait but there appeared to be a full house and plenty more people waiting by the time we left (we overheard someone at the bar mention they were told 45-60 minutes). This was our first time at this chain and this location. Our server was really good, especially considering we were upstairs and she was constantly running up and down. We were pleased with the experience. We had the cornbread and deviled eggs for appetizers. For our entrees, I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and added a side of fried green tomatoes. My husband had the dinner which included 3 meats and 3 sides. Everything was very good. We also tried all of their sauces, which weren’t too bad. My preference was the Stoney Creek Original. I know some are complaining about the wait times but that is to be expected when you have a new restaurant open. We went the following weekend with my parents. Wait time was about an hour. So I checked in and they text you your wait time & updates. I went out to wait in the vehicle with my family. If you change your mind and decide to go elsewhere, their text message has an option where you can text them to remove you from the list. This was very convenient and easy peasy. We’ll probably go again at either an off time or once the newness has died down.
