Mariscos Vallarta Seafood and Mexican Grill

This is more like a regular Mexican restaurant that happens to also serve shrimp and octopus. The interior is nice, the decor is dark unlike the typical colorful decor. Not a lot of fresh seafood options, most items are cooked or fried and not a lot of variety. The serve you chips and salsa upon arrival.
Oysters were small. The fish ceviche was okay but was missing some flavor. The rice was weird, it had like pieces of beef and bacon so it was greasy. The owner was very attentive, he came by every 10-15min.
Overall it was okay but I don't think I'll be going back.

Good food and not the same old stuff. I had a seafood ceviche tostada and a shrimp and pork taco, my wife had the coconut shrimp (but it's not the sweet sticky stuff you might expect elsewhere). Eight very large shrimp, rice and veggies. It's a bit $$, but not unreasonably so for seafood or given inflation. Very friendly and efficient server.

(Just beware if you are used to Tex-Mex. This has more authentic flavors that some folks, accustomed to T-M might not like as much. OTOH, you might love the difference.)

This authentic restaurant opened just a few weeks ago. Those people posting bad reviews need to cut the new serving staff a little slack. We ate their for the first time on a busy Friday night and we had excellent service and great food. I had an enchilada and my wife had a shrimp quesadilla. My Chattanooga local brew was a delightful $3.99 and her Corona Light was $4.25. Unlike some other reviews we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa and it came out fast. Our food came out a few minutes later. They had a huge TV with UFC fights and other smaller TVs with other channels. Entire experience was excellent. We will be back.

Service was good!! the only problem was that the hostess girl kept walking around our table the whole time i couldn't even relax and eat my food cause her back was to us every minute i don't know what her problem was like she was trying to get our attention not sure why!? Made me feel really uncomfortable everything else was really nice!! Except for the hostess girl ..
