Monkey Town Brewing Company - Chattanooga

First visit to Monkey Town, won’t be the last. Lots of beer choices to please anyone. My wife and I each got a flight and loved every selection. The Valley Girl Juice Cleanse Key Lime sour was our favorite.

The food was great as well. Beer cheese with tortillas, boom boom shrimp tacos, and the chicken Cobb salad were all delicious.

Can’t wait for a return visit to try more!

Really good place to eat & drink, and it's off the beaten path! Be sure to ask what the process is at the bar as you enter.
We selected the fried pickle appetizer which was my favorite surprisingly. The pickles were exactly the right amount of sour.
For dinner, I decided on a half order of Irish nachos as dinner. They were very full of flavor and unexpectedly, the attributes of the different ingredients were able to stand on their own. I couldn't finish this dish...it was a lot of food.
He chose salmon with herb butter which was fresh, lightly flavored and not oily at all. He asked for grilled broccoli and red cabbage slaw as his side dishes and his drink was a New Zealand pilsner which was very enjoyable.
We will return to this place again but will bring friends or family to share the experience. The do have an outside patio for eating but it was a little too cold a day we went. Also dog friendly. There were a few kids eating with family and it's a loud, easy-going vibe.

Love the one in Dayton tried the one in hixson area …. Fried pickles were great best ever love they are French fry shaped!! So good …. The Philly well was just ok they have the best unique French fry’s so good … Mimi’s cheesesteak still holds the trophy

Tonight was my first visit to the new Hixson/Ashland Terrace location, and I was more than pleased with everything! My friend and I were warmly greeted by the lady at the front door register area and was very cool about helping us decide on our adult beverage choices (we both started by getting a flight).
Food we ordered was delivered shortly after picking a table and within just a few moments of starting to sample our drink choices. The food menu is classic bar food choices with a nice nouveau flair, and ours was served quickly and at the right temperature.
Now for the brew choices...EXCELLENT!!! A great mix of styles that surely anyone would enjoy whether if they appreciate traditional styles or "experimental/non traditional" types as well. I brew beer myself and sincerely appreciated the depth of tasty choices and styles that they are serving up here. They also happily let us sample a couple of other brews after our dinner and flights were done.

Soft opening so I'm allowing lots of learning room. Specifically, they don't want to have servers but I feel they need to figure out a better system for managing customers because one line for everybody makes for a long line that's just not acceptable when it's busy.

The only other time I went to Monkey Town was at the original in Dayton, TN and I was ignored and wasn't served (I'm visibly queer 🤷🏻) so this experience was already better because I was actually able to try their selections!

They have a good selection of beverages on their drink menu. Some I enjoyed more than others but that's going to happen when you're trying a wide range of things. I like that they had so many different varieties/styles. There's something for everyone :)
And I love shopping local/small, when I can.
