Ok seriously Chattanooga! I lived in the back country of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and the food here reminds me of that same epic experience! Legit, rugged deep country taste. I’m talking bone-in flavored authentic food! This is not the American cultured version, it’s better! I got takeout for myself and family. Everyone was pleasantly impressed with the flavors! I can’t wait to go back to Irie Jamaican Cuisine for another round!

What a great experience. We enjoyed the flavors. It was very different from what we are used to. There are not many choices for children. My daughter tried the Curry Goat. If she had known prior, she would have refused. The beef patty was tasty and gets two thumbs up. They were a little unorganized and didn't seem ready to open. Overall, just be patient and enjoy a new experience.

As another reviewer wrote, the flavors were good and this Red Bank addition has real promise. They just need to work out the kinks. They were out of the jerk chicken and stew peas, which were the first choice main dishes. Husband and I ordered curried goat with rice/beans and plantains as a side and stew chicken with seasoned fries and plantains.

Based on other review photos I was hoping they’d have that cabbage slaw I saw with some meals, but nope. Total was $37 including tax, which is a tad high, especially since 75% of the curry goat was bone and fat (see picture). Stew chicken was a good portion size and had a flavorful sauce, but the meat (breast) was a little dry. The fries were seasoned well, but were dry and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. Guessing they don’t have enough kitchen help to make fries to order. Plantains and rice/beans (mostly rice with a scattering of beans) were very tasty.

They need more detailed descriptions and fixed prices on their menu. Hoping they’ll get it all dialed in. I’ll check reviews again in the next month or so and base my return visit on customer feedback.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the lackluster reviews here. I had a great experience at this restaurant. The curry goat was flavorful, and the plantains were very tasty. The owner came out and talked to everyone and asked how the food was, I e. he really seemed to care about our opinions. I had no complaints. I hope this place sticks around.

So glad this restaurant is open in my community! I stopped by today. It is still early days for this location. The food was served promptly after ordering. The curry has a nice flavor profile and is pleasantly spicy but not too spicy. Rice and beans were as expected. I will be going back frequently.
