Uncle Larry’s

Fish and service were very good. I lived in Louisiana for a while so I’ve had some pretty good catfish before. This was the best I’ve had in the Chattanooga/North Georgia area. I got the variety platter which I think is the best deal on the menu because of how much you get (easily enough for 2 people or 1 really hungry person). The catfish and whiting were the best on it. The service was outstanding, the waitress was very friendly and even listened to my kids’ fish stories. It’s not a big dining area and was very packed but it didn’t seem to affect service at all. Owner came out a few times to interact with guests as well. You can tell he cares very much about running things well. Would definitely recommend and will likely come back.

Not a big fish fried guy, but wow - very good. I tried the tilapia and it was breaded perfect and cooked perfect. Tried the pasta salad and cucumber salad for side - those were good too. Next time I would only get one piece of fish to save room for some desserts. Waitress explained everything for us, definitely plan recommend and come back again.

If you have not tried Larry's fried fish, you are certainly missing out on one of the finest culinary treats in Chattanooga. No B.S.
It's freaking awesome. Hopefully Larry will be able to do a little something with the interior of the east Brainerd location. Lacks a homey feel, but damned the fish is good.

My husband and I just ENJOYED delicious catfish and fried shrimp at Uncle Larry's. We are from the catfish capital of the world...Greensboro, Alabama. NEVER have we had catfish this delicious. The service was fantastic and staff was so friendly. Also, they have the BEST sweet tea this side of the Mississippi. Good sweet tea AND fried "on flavor" catfish are hard to come by. We've tried our share. If you get a chance, please try Uncle Larry's. I can't sing their praises enough. Am glad you came to East Brainerd. We will become regular customers.

Great place to eat catfish is great make sure you are hungry when you arrive
