Choo Choo BBQ of Hixson

When I first moved here, I had NO idea what a killer potato was or what to expect. After visiting Choo Choo for dinner, our family was sold. I was later unable to eat red meat, so pork was off the table sadly, and they still offer their killer potato with BBQ pulled chicken! They also have a salad bar with some pretty obscure fixings that I appreciate and I have never had anything from this location that wasn't delicious.

This time we tried the fried pickles Spears with ranch, and they were the bomb!

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys smoked meats and bbq, they also have a fairly expansive selection of sauces to pick from that they make in-house!

You can tell the meat is, well, lovingly smoked. Fork tender and juicy. Had beef brisket this time, but have had pork and chicken previously...top notch!

We began going to Choo Choo before they built their current facility. Yep, the restaurant is MUCH better and the food is just as good if not better than before. The service has always been superb from the moment you walk in the till they wish you a good as you leave. We have NEVER had a bad meal from hamburgers to ribs to chicken dumplings to their truly tender brisket . Have yet to try the salad bar but it really looks good and everything appears to be available and fresh with a good selection of dressings. I would and will recommend to anyone.

Choo Choo BBQ's Family Pack provides a convenient family meal choice (Monday through Saturday). Quality has been consistently excellent. I highly recommend the fried okra.
