Fortune House Restaurant

This place will fool you. It is an older restaurant and needs updating. But WOW the food was epic. The Buffett was fresh and because they only put out a little at a time it's a much higher quality than you expect. We really enjoyed our lunch.

Oh how I wish this place was not on top of the mountain from me! Small unassuming outside. Small inside but clean. The buffet looked small and empty, but she said they were cooking. They would bring out small batches at a time but that keeps the buffet food hot and super fresh, probably the freshest buffet I've had in a long time. I loved the hot and sour soup. The buffet was limited but had enough variety that my family who all prefer different types of Chinese all had plenty to eat and really liked it a lot. I got motion sick getting to it, tried a different way back and it was still pretty curvy but better. I will risk the ride again to eat there but really wished it wasn't at the top of signal mountain and me in the valley! Looks are deceiving of this place, try it!!

Seems a little iffy on the front, but may be the best Asian I have ever eaten. HUGE portion sizes, made fresh and authentic and served with a smile. 5 out of 5 stars for food quality and service!!

I’m not really crazy about the 5 star rating system. I prefer the “would you recommend” Home Depot-style rating. I feel that says more. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant. Food was tasty. Lunch servings were beyond generous. I can’t eat as much food as I was served. My girlfriend was very happy with her huge bowl of vegetarian soup on a cold day. We both had leftovers to take home. The service was speedy as well.
