Great food, very good beer, clean, friendly staff, slow service.

We like Abridged a lot. It is highly popular for a reason. When the weather is agreeable, the outdoor seating is wonderful. It is one of the best in town. The big problem Abridged has now is that it might be loved to death. We tried to get in last night, but there wasn’t room to even stand in line for food. I hope they are looking for a bigger place to provide their services. I’m guessing that half of those desiring to enjoy Abridged last night returned to their cars instead of trying to wait it out.

First time here. I had heard about the burger, about how it was the best in town. As far as brisket burgers are concerned I can say that is the best brisket burger in town. It is not the absolute best burger, but it is good. I liked the pretzel brioche bun, not too much bread, just enough. The fries we're too over-seasoned for my taste and I am not a fan of twice fried fries, but my friends liked them. Inside the building is nice, loud but nice. The staff seem friendly and approachable, which is a huge plus in this town. As far as the beer is concerned, I can't tell you. I do not drink so I can't give an up or down vote. The place is clean. There is a lot of communal seating. And the walk from the church parking lot is nice during the evening hours.

I've been traveling around and doing the Knox Ale Trail for a few months now and decided to stop at Abridged while running errands. The atmosphere was super relaxed and the dining room as well as the outdoor seating was bustling. It's sort of a deli style ordering system where you make your order and then sit anywhere you like. I ordered a flight to try all of the beers that I was interested in and really enjoyed everything I tried. I am a big fan of sours, so I was really excited to see 3 different goses on the menu.

This place has great beer. It's full of flavor and most of their brews have playful names. The atmosphere is great inside or outside, and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The Abridged Burger is one of the best in Knoxville right up there with Stock and Barrel, which is saying a lot. The upside to Abridged is that you don't have to worry about a potential 2-3 hour wait.

Definitely a great addition to the Knoxville food and beer scenes.

Great beer, and the best burgers in Knoxville. I always order the current special burger, and I've never been disappointed. The beers are always flavorful and vibrant. No surprise this place is always busy. Be prepared to park at the church.
