Babalu Tapas and Tacos - Knoxville

My boyfriend and I went here for our 6 months anniversary, and it made the night great! All of the tacos we had were absolutely amazing, but the rest of the menu looked great, too - I am already thinking about what I will get next time! Awesome service, too.

Delicious, mostly authentic tacos, alongside a decent bar menu and tapas. The table side guacamole is one of their feature items, and it's not bad, but it could use more toppings. The tacos were great, and reasonable at 3/$10. Margaritas were fantastic, and the draft beer selection is varied and well-curated. Try the Mexican street corn, but skip the Brussel sprouts. Overall, a great spot!

Wow, definitely get the guacamole and chips made at your table. It's the best. Tacos are great but the Babalu burger is the best anywhere. Yep I went to a taco joint and had the burger as well. The jalapeno margarita was a great surprise as well.

Our waiter was extremely friendly and ensured we enjoyed our drinks and food. We arrived a little after 3 so lunch was over, but our waiter was nice enough to let us order off the lunch menu AND have happy hour priced drinks! It was so nice! We ordered guacamole for the table and it was fantastic, definitely the best guacamole I've ever had. I also had the sangria and really enjoyed it as well

Great place to stop in and eat on Gay Street. I enjoyed their black bean fritters and the choices of specialty tacos. I have recommended to my friends and will definitely be recommending it in the future as well. There was great service and fantastic presentation of the food. They do staggered food delivery here so the food is delivered as it is made.
