Calhoun's On The River

Had the greatest time overlooking the river and the bluffs while celebrating a friend's birthday! Service was excellent. Room was comfortable. Food was delicious! Love the corn muffins and fried green tomatoes!

I had the Fish and Chips. No complaints about the fish or the fries. The food was delivered nice and hot. This was perfect.
My wife had the salad, and that was also very nice.
I especially enjoyed the view from our table - it was amazing to get to see the river and all that goes with that.

I had the fresh squeezed lemonade, and it was too watered down. It's $3 for the 1st one, and $1 for the refill. I initially planned on a second one, but declined after having the first one. I'd expect more lemon in my lemonade.

One area that Calhoun's on the River could work on is their service. I don't know if they are running short on people or what. When we waited five or so minutes to be seated, in the lobby filled with people, I assumed that the place must be at capacity. Not really - it was not more than 30% occupied at 11:30am on a Friday.

I'd go 5 star if either the lemonade had flavor or the service was standard. Everything else was great.

Had a good lunch at Calhoun's On The River. It's a good environment and clean restaurant and views of the river are nice as you're eating. Service was great. The fried catfish was excellent. Everyone in our party had a good experience.

My husband and I both had ribs, baked potato and slaw. The whole meal was great! The ribs were moist and so tasty!! The service was excellent from the time we walked through the door, was seated, placed our order, received our order, ate and then left. Well done Calhoun's!!

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. Beautiful location, good food and great service. My husband and I shared a meal and there was more than enough. But our favorite part (besides the view) was the kids meals. They were inexpensive and came in a cute car packaging. Great unique touch!
