Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

During our family visit we shared our first dinner at Cheddar's Kitchen and it was awesome. The salmon was cooked perfectly with tasty veggies and a delicious dessert afterwards. The staff took care of everything and made sure no peanuts were on my girls dessert. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the time spent with family. Thanks for taking care of us all

This review may be a little strange.... My son likes Cheddars. So, while back in Knoxville for the weekend, I wanted to take him to Cheddars. It has been years since I have been to Cheddars. I had big expectations.

Here is the strange part. My lunch was so not memorable that I had trouble remembering what I ordered when I started writing this review. I ended up ordering the scrod and my son had a maple chicken sandwich. We also had the hot buttered croissants as an appetizer. The croissants were the highlight of the meal. The scrod was hot, but a little tough. The chicken sandwich was okay. But certainly nothing special.

In addition to the less than memorable food, it took nearly 15 minutes of the wait staff walking back and forth past our table before we were brought menus and water. That is totally unacceptable. Especially in mid-afternoon when the restaurant has very little business.

Including tax and tip, our lunch menu meals was nearly $40. I definitely do not feel like we received a meal worth $40.

I went with a group of 6 and everyone loved their food. Our waiter was nice and courteous. Strawberry sweet tea is a must!

It was our first time here and oh my goodness the chicken and waffles were to die forrrrrr. The environment is laid back and modern and it was clean.
The only reason we did four stars was because our waitress wasn’t very personable or attentive and we were there at a low time.
