This place is really great, the food is delicious and the setting of the restaurant is calming. The bathrooms are really sanitary, but they're one person bathrooms. With a smaller place like this it's fine.
Note: Coke products and all day breakfast.
Edit: The place is closing down August 19th 2019. It's been here for 10 years, but it's going out. It was great while it lasted.
The food was freshly prepared and very good. Portions were generous. Lovely family environment.
One of my favorite spots! I found this gem about 4 years ago. It has that classic, American diner atmosphere. Going in there is like taking a step back in time, to when life was simple (no frills) and the meals were fresh and hot. I have eaten there quite a few times and I have yet to get something I didn't like. Oh. My. Goodness! The desserts are amazing!! All in all, it's worth it to get a small taste of heaven.
Great Diner food at it's best. We had 4 adults and 2 kids 5 and 3 and it was $60. Damn good food for damn good cost. We even got a piece of cake to take home. The wife's prego so only half the cake made it home. That's alright, I love her. Kudos Fountain City Diner! Kudos.
Average food today. Service was not too bad. The pancakes were overcooked, so they were not fluffy but crunchy. Did not finish them, which is sad because you pay $7.50 for them
Coffee, with refills, is $2. Coffee is not too bad. They did make a better than average cheese grits. Came at 10:20 and the place was almost empty. Have heard good things about it. Hopefully they are not just going on past reputation and I got them on a bad day. Maybe not breakfast cook, but lunch cook?
