Delicious and hearty. Definitely comfort food for those whom enjoy curries and cream sauce dishes. Anything cooked with a spinach sauce is lovely and well done. Try the chef specialties menu. I gave a four star rating only because my beverage was forgotten.. Otherwise, service was good for the fare and price. Water glasses were kept full

We ate Idli Sambhar and Masala Dhosa, quantity was good and taste was delicious.
Service was also very good. I strongly recommend this restaurant for vegetarian lovers and specially South Indian Cuisine fans.

Knoxville people: We are very lucky to have a new restaurant serving South Indian food. This is very different from all other India restaurants, which generally serve North Indian (Punjabi) food. The only other places to get South Indian are in Nashville and Atlanta. To me, this is really a milestone for Knoxville, and a fantastic addition to authentic, ethnic dining. I ate here today and it was great. The taste brought back memories of the small cafes I ate at daily in Kerala and Karnataka. And the chai was good and spicy! Vegetarians especially will love it, as South Indian is traditionally a vegetarian cuisine. Some items include Masala Dosa, Idly Sambar, and Poori Masala. They are planning to add Northern items to the menu too soon, I believe to make the place more accessible to the average (non-Indian) diner. Right now, the customers are almost exclusively Indian.
*Update* Now the menu includes many items that, while excellent, are not unique to Knoxville. Ask to be shown what are the South Indian items for a unique experience.
Please give this place a try! Let's keep them here in Knoxville! Also, next door is India Market, where you can get all sorts of interesting groceries and even Ayurvedic preparations.

Awesome Dosas and lunch buffet. Fantastic is an understatement.
