Patches BBQ & More (East)

The food was good, but not great. They don't serve beer. The floors don't look like they've been swept or moped in a while. The pulled pork was moist and fully cooked but lacking in smoke. Tasted more boiled than slow smoke. The fried oakra was golden brown and delicious. The fries were overcooked and soggy. They tasted like they tried to reheat them in the fryer rather than cooking up a fresh batch. The fried green tomatoes were good, but they needed some kind of a dipping sauce to serve with them. The bathroom was clean.

My husband and I have enjoyed this place twice for dine-in, and once for a take-out order. Food was excellent, prices were great. Our only issue is being charged for 2 drinks, I ordered a water with the first dine-in, brought my own drink the second and no drink with the takeout…husband didn’t catch it until we arrived home. Not sure if they automatically charge for drinks with the meals, but either way, we will return, very close to home, and very good food.

I stopped by Patches On Rutledge Pike after work yesterday to check it out. I enjoy trying a new place and writing about the pros and cons. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and I was very satisfied with how it tasted, I'm very picky about that type of pizza and how it's need to taste considering it's not your typical pizza. I very much enjoyed and wanted to let them know I give it 2 👍s up!!! While I was there a nice lady encouraged me to get her maple bacon cake, now at first I thought nasty and remembered I've never given that maple bacon donut a try most places have now. I decided to purchase a piece and try it for dessert last night and I was extremely surprised how good it was and will for sure be getting another piece soon!

Had the pulled pork sammich, sliced baloney and baked beans. Service was great. I loved the smoked baloney and beans best. The pulled pork was good but maybe a little dry. Prices were good and portion sizes were generous. I’ll definitely return!
