It's good, but not what it used to be. Under new management, employees have been unhappy, and the produce is no longer consistently well-stocked. I used to be able to count on fresh, full bunches of greens, for example, but no longer. There might be none or they might all be limp and small. This never used to happen. I loved buying seedlings from Three Rivers in previous years, but this year it looked like they weren't cared for properly and there was a smaller selection. I so appreciate the mission and coop structure that I want to support Three Rivers. But I also want to be able to get what I need (that they usually have) in one trip. Perhaps we were spoiled with the previous director, who created an excellent, pleasurable, shopping experience. I hope things improve for both shoppers and employees.
I came here because a friend mentioned I could buy items in bulk like nuts, grains, and spices. I really enjoyed being able to find a good amount of vegan and gluten-free options, but the prices here are quite high. Imagine wholefoods, but extra. The store is quite small so options are limited. I only bought a handful of items and my total came to 60 dollars. I guess that's the price you pay when you have dietary restrictions.
They are consistently cheaper than Whole Foods and Earthfare for the same products. They have an amazing rotation of local produce, helping you eat seasonally and bringing exciting varieties to try. They treat their employees well and are welcoming to all. You get what you pay for!
This is a wonderful store with great selection and prices better than in other similar organic food stores. I was impressed with their choice of vegetables and got to try new vegetables I never tried before. Also, staff is nice and courteous. It's not as big as some other stores where you find big selection of exotic products, but overall this is one of the best natural food stores in the country, and I've been to a few.
Absolutely love this place! Such great finds. Sad I am just now discovering it after 5 years of living in Knoxville. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. Only thing I would change is that it does close at 7 pm, which makes it hard to get there during the week.
