Waffle House

Miss Emma will definitely treat you like family when you're eating at one of her tables...

The waffles there were so soft and easy to cut threw with your fork. I loved it beacuse the food there was cooked threw and just so good all together.

This was for sure a five star experience. I have been to some good breakfast places but this waffle is the best thing that has come across my taste buds and put in my mouth.

As is always the case in chain restaurants, some locations are just better than others. In the case of Knoxville Waffle House locations, the best I've found (in terms of consistency) has been the location off I-40 Strawberry Plains exit 398.
The food is always good, the service is consistently excellent, and it's a convenient location for me (I live a few miles west, off of Strawberry Plains Pike).
I've been to several other locations in town, but they were hit and miss. Sometimes the food, sometimes the service.
That's why, despite the fact that the Asheville Highway location is closer, I will drive the extra 3 miles to go to the Strawberry Plains location.
Last time I was there, I ordered a Texas bacon cheese melt, with hash browns smothered, covered, capped and diced (cheese, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes).
As expected, it was quickly delivered to my place setting on the low bar, it was hot, and it was really good. My wife had the same, minus mushrooms and tomatoes.
I go back any time I'm in the mood to not cook at home.
