Just did the spa mineral bath. It was amazing, relaxing, and cleansing. The owners were very polite and there was an amazing smell coming from the dining area... made me super hungry... like grandma's house used to be.
Staff is wonderful, enjoyed the mineral bath(especially after you get used to the smell). Hope to see updates to this beautiful place. Would definitely recommend for a quite get away.
Wanted a get away for Sister's to relax and that we did. Room was just what we needed for the two of us. We were pampered with wonderful food freshly cooked with fantastic recipes even with my food restrictions. We played Chess and enjoyed working a puzzle they had out to enjoy. The place is lovely. They haven't owned it long, so hopefully they will be able to grow the business and do repairs to the outside of the building and yard. Spa experience was different than I expected but very enjoyable and relaxing. If you want down time, and want to escape from the world read, relax this is your place.
Armour' Red Boiling Spring Hotel is a peaceful and quirky respite. The building itself is a little rustic/worn and feels like staying in an antique store. The guest rooms are tight, and the bathrooms are EXTREMELY small. The beds are very comfortable, though, and everything is obviously clean. Besides the bathroom size, my expectations were exceeded by Mark and his wife (whom I did not get to meet). They are welcoming, helpful, humorous, and dedicated. In the spa experience, we really enjoyed the heated amethyst biomat. The baths themselves aren't what I am used to in mineral springs - they are not geothermal and must be mixed with heated tap water, but they're just as relaxing and rejuvenating as any maintained spring I've been in. The meals we ate in the dining room were outstanding - home cooking but with class and refinement. One morning, we had French toast with homemade sorghum ricotta and buttermilk syrup. The next morning loaded veggie omelets. For dinner, I had the apple butter pork loin, and my partner had the meatloaf cordon bleu. I think their menu changes with the season, but I bet any meal eaten here would be awesome. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
