First time camping with a camper! Easy access, fun playground/park for the kids, options for food in the area if you forget food or decide to eat out. The kids love it here! Staff very helpful and friendly! We will be back for sure. Kid friendly. Easy hike.

Went to this state park for the day. It looks like a great place to camp. Very peaceful and the people seem friendly. I love seeing the wildlife and just enjoying nature. You can just go kayaking for the day or enjoy a hiking trail.

What a cute state park and its so close to home too!

It has primitive camping, campings, motel style lodging, a restaurant, a store, several playgrounds, a walking trail and its located on the Duck River. What a great local get away to nature.

Ok starting with check in and staff ,quick and very helpful / friendly with a small store that has most last minute stuff, the camp road and sites are all smooth blacktop with easy to read site numbers, the bathroom and shower houses ( there are two ) were very clean, and the best for last, most sites are level and large with a thick line of tree's separating the neighbors, the whole campground is covered with tall trees also they have a few nice hiking trail trails in the park.
I'm sure I left a lot out but I hope this is helpful.

River area is super busy on weekends most of the time. Great place for picnics and leashed pets! Hiking trails are well maintained but heavy foot traffic at times, especially on weekends. There are bins for trash and recycling.
