    Very sensible atmosphere..
    Extremely attentive staff..
    Mixed drinks were top notch..
    And then THE FOOD..
    SURF n TURF.. Steak n lobster..
    I can fire a steak over wood that will make you fall in love with beef all over again
    .But their chef,,I believe its the owner..
    YES.. THEIR CHEF IS HIGHLY SKILLED AND AND SERVED ME ONE OF THE VERY FEW STEAKS IV EVER HAD THAT WAS
    AS GOOD,, AND PROBABLY BETTER THAN IF I COOKED IT MYSELF..
    And the baked tater and sides we outstanding.. and so was the Lobster..
    If your in or near ATHENS and you want to treat yourself as and your tastebuds...
    Then the OPEN DOOR is a grand slam outta the park Cafe lounge restaurant.

    I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure what I wanted but the girl with the different colored hair went off what I normally drink & made something up. It was good & she was super friendly. We will definitely be going back

    Historic place. Interesting setup but the food is pretty good. Service is great too. Great place to have a drink.

    If they're open when you're in Athens TN, definitely swing by. Very cool, open building. Full bar with great beer selection. Full diverse menu. If they have the egg rolls when you're there, get them (and maybe a couple to go) and ask if they have the spicy beef and cabbage soup.
