This is the second time we stopped in here and I would say our experiences mimicked each other. Good first! The service is great and this place is very clean. The food: what I did try was yummy. The cons: both times we were here there was no signs saying what the dishes were. Is it pork...steak...chicken...all a mystery. So I ask the person behind the counter. Both visits this seemed to be offensive. Not sure why as all of the meat was breaded and fried or covered in sauce so it was hard to distinguish. I don’t like to waste food and I do not necessarily like to eat steak. So if I wasn’t sure what it was, I didn’t take any. So, signs above each dish would be very helpful!
'Do not under estimate the dessert line up. I mean did say Do not forget to try the sweets. Like all of them!
I started with the sweets first, so glad I did, they are simple but finely produced.
Tasty, it all started with a perfectly poured Arnold Palmer by our wonderful waitress Olivia.
Saw good reviews about this place so decided to take a drive to check it out. The food is seasoned a little differently than what I'm used to but not in an objectionable way, just different. The desserts were especially tasty. Only tried one thing that I didn't like at the hot bar and honestly that may just be because I've never had it before. The only complaint that I have is that I had to look through several plates at the salad bar before finding one that was clean. So minus one star for the lack of attention getting the plates clean.
The food was AMAZING!!!!!! My husband’s worker found this restaurant by accident. We travel as a group for work. We got split up due to road blocks. So his worker started looking for some where to eat. We were coming from Virginia and stuck in traffic for 2 hours and we were hungry. The food was seasoned just right, the tea was perfect and the desserts was amazing!!! I finally got to eat true southern food and desserts. I have eaten some southern cooking but nothing like this. My husband said this is real southern cooking. Thank you DinnerBell for the experience. I will never forget it. If we come back in this direction we will DEFINITELY STOP. We were also happy that the had parking for trucks. We were pulling a trailer.
Excellent fresh cold salad bar including sweet watermelon and a nice variety of veggies. Home cooked hot bar and great tasting pulled pork. Southern fried chicken that was AWESOME!! FOOD WAS SO GOOD WE COULDN'T HOLD DESSERT!!!! and oh my the tasty cold sweet tea ???? 24 bucks for 2. Worth the drive!!!
