Tellico Kats Deli & Cafe

This is a great place for a sandwich! We sat out back and watched trout swim in the river. The staff brought us bread to feed to the fish! The food was wonderful. It's all homemade. We had a marvelous time.

What a cute little place! Right on a little river! Huge sandwiches and delicious..had grilled cheese with three cheeses and the tuna! Peach pie and banana pudding was fresh and homemade!

Great people, wonderful food! Was nice to sit out on the back deck and watch the water go by... Will be back next time we're here driving the Tail of the Dragon!

If you happen to be in Tellico Plains, and you miss out on eating at Kat's Deli, then I wish nothing but the best on the rest of your adventure...because you're missing out!!! The reasons why? Not only does this establishment represent the sheer essence of what, "dining on the river means," they take it to a whole new level. From start to finish, it is truly a pleasure. Furthermore, the dishes served there are beyond compare for the area. Kudos to all the ladies busting it out, so that others might truly enjoy their experience.

If you gave not been here recently, or had a bad experience in the past I am urging you to try them again. I believe the business recently changed hands- the food is so much better- fresher- and faster!
The specials are spot on- and the menu is now featuring some new york style deli sandwiches that are really worth trying.
We visited on Sunday may 26, the place was empty when we walked in but quickly filled up- the line of folks ordering was long and quickly worked- the staff friendly and attentive without being obnoxious.
I highly recommend Kats!
