    Good food ... a slow but worth the wait

    ladies at the counter are normally rather rude but the food is pretty decent. Very inconsistent with the level of spice and how the food is cooked. Tonight the tenders and catfish are cooked nicely but the okra is to burnt to eat.

    Price is not good for food. Ordered the wingettes for $7.50 and got a measly amount of food. Didnt even have fries. The mild was good though. And the lemonade was really good. Wouldn't go there again any time soon. First and last for a while.

    We’ll I wasn’t disappointed with the heat! I got mild and it was still hot!!! Freshly made to order so it may take a bit longer for your order. I really wish Helen’s wasn’t by that stinky river though. If you like Hot Chicken you’ll love Helen’s!!!

    Chicken was very good and the fried okra was seasoned and fried just like I ordered. Everything was fried at the time the order is placed so you will have a short wait time. But it is well worth the wait I highly recommend this place if you like hit chicken
