Stroud's has consistently very good food for reasonable prices. I really like the ribs - which they only have on Saturday - and BBQ baked potatoes. Their family packs are a real bargain - and their Arnold Palmer's (1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade) are worth going through the drive through just for that. Always very fast even at peak times.
I am a big Stroud’s fan in Nashville and was excited to run across Stroud’s in Cookeville. However their menu is not the full Stroud’s menu and found that frustrating when trying to order and please kids. The BBQ pork sandwich was good though.
This is, hands down, my favorite spot for barbecue. I much prefer chicken - so I can't comment on their pork. However, I've never ordered a meal I didn't love. From chicken potatoes, nachos, and now tacos they do not disappoint. Don't forget to order a Palmer to drink (I like mine unsweetened). If you're feeling dessert - the fudge pie is where it's at. I hear they have excellent chess pie too. Service is always quick and friendly, too!
BBQ Pork is good. You dont get a lot of food on a plate. The dining area looks clean. Cornbread taste like cake.
We had them cater our wedding this past weekend. The delivery and customer service were amazing. Our guests really seemed to enjoy the pulled pork and chicken; the sweet tea was a big hit. Definitely recommend for a bride on a budget.
