Old Capital Public House

It’s a hidden gem. Who would have known. 50 tourists in a bus we stopped and it was so great we want to go back. Thank you to the staff and especially Chrissy!!

Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal! Wife and I will absolutely be back! It's so nice to find a local place that take care and pride in their food and service!

Favorite place to stop and get lunch locally. So nice to have another option besides fast food. I have loved everything I have tried here. The fries are great!

I'm from Chicago, working at the local TVA power plant, and looking for somewhere good to eat, rather than the same old fast food joints... After reading many positive reviews about the Old Capital, I thought I'd give it a visit, and glad I did. (Most people don't leave good reviews, usually only bad ones, for revenge!!! )

My server Devin, was very friendly & courteous, and he knew the menu...

I decided on the usual burger & side salad. Let me tell you something, it was FAR from a crappy McDonald's burger and salad !!! Lol

The salad was huge (for a side salad) and for some green stuff, cheese & croutons (great croutons by the way) on a plate, was one of the best salads I've had in a while...

When the burger came, it was stacked high & the burger filled up the huge bun, and looked extremely good. I always pull off the bacon and eat it before the burger, and was some of the best tasting bacon I've ever had.. The burger was juicy, slightly charred, which i love, and seasoned perfectly.... I haven't had a burger this good in a long time...

So glad I found this place, and I'll be back again, maybe I'll try the ribs....
