Helen's Hot Chicken Murfreesboro

Visiting from out of town, I very much wanted to try some Nashville Hot Chicken. Helen's didn't disappoint. It's a little bit of a hole in the wall, but it's clean, the service is very friendly and the chicken was great. I got the chicken breast, and it was cooked perfectly and had a good kick, but didn't light your mouth on fire (for reference, I got Hot and there is a step above that).

The owner absolutely cares about his customers which is unheard of nowadays and something that I definitely appreciate! There was a small issue with my order, and after sending my concern via msg, he immediately asked for me to call. Needless to say, the call ended on a very positive note and further confirmed that he really cares and will take the time to address any customer concerns, no matter how big or small. On a different note, I certainly can't leave out how great the food is, and that they have the best fish sandwiches in town! Thanks so much, Josh! You are absolutely amazing!

Stopped here on a Monday for lunch while on a road trip with my grumpy Grandpa. He didn't want to go into Nashville to eat, and I'm glad we didn't, because Helen's Hot Chicken was excellent!

I had a three piece hot chicken tender combo that was somehow juicy, crispy, and spicy all at the same time. My Grandpa got an order of gizzards that was large enough to feed a small army, and the fact that he complimented them at all means they were amazing.

Definitely give this spot a try if you're in the area!

We are glad we finally tried Helen’s Hot Chicken! The quality of the food and service is worth every star. I got the Mild tenders with fried okra and fruit tea. The tenders were so flavorful, and the okra and tea were straight up the best I’ve ever had. My BF got the Hot tenders and was STRUGGLING with the heat, but said they were delicious. All in all, we were super happy and will for sure be back for more!

I’m proud to say that this place is in Murfreesboro! I got the mild whiting sandwich fish with fries and they were both delicious! The owner is great they were closed and he still allowed me to get a plate! Now that’s great service! He’s also Christian too so that’s a blessing to know! Keep doing what you guys are doing and you all will succeed!
