Great buffet. Live the goat curry with bone. They bring you your choice of naan with the buffet.
This is the place you go for the best garlic naan to n town! Consistently good food, it's hard to pass up the buffet. However, ordering from the menu definitely has its place and the taste and freshness from the menu cannot be beat. A local institution for more than a decade (I believe), it's changed ownership a few times but always stayed true to it's promise of great culinary fare. I'm very happy with it's current incarnation/ownership/management.
I was missing an authentic style kulcha and I have tried many places, but nobody in Tennessee or Alabama has authentic Punjabi kulcha, other than these people. You should try it once. Overall, their food is delicious, and manager will never disappoint you.
The Clay Pit is my favorite Indian restaurant. I guess it gets his name from the Tandoori the traditional Clay Oven in which they cook their food. The older bill is a fantastic friendly man who goes out of his way to make sure you have a fantastic experience in his restaurant. The food is always been extremely flavorful fresh and exciting to eat. If you want to try a different type of food don't be frightened by Indian. It's great nutritious healthy and definitely different. Try the Clay Pit Murfreesboro it's a lot of fun and a great place to eat.
First, we were greeted and welcomed in and by the owner, no less. I had mentioned to him that last time I tried Indian which was also my first, I had a physical reaction to it in form of a shooting headache. I've been hesitant to try Indian food since then. He explained which foods were spicier than others and suggested I try each slowly in small bites. Nevertheless, I ate most of the gorgeous items on the buffet and they were all delicious! I was so happy I tried it again and so happy I went there. The whole experience was very positive. I expect I'll be going back many times in the future.
