Toluca Mexican Restaurant

My GOD, this is by far the MOST DELICIOUS Mexican food in the city! Even just the salsa is mind blowing compared to basically all other salsa I've ever had and the chips were clearly made there and were entirely fresh(this was at dinner time). For their mixed drinks and such they also DO NOT skimp on the alcohol and have awesome bartenders. I can not rave about this place enough, I mean I'm absolutely blown away. It's heartbreaking that they don't get more business because they definitely deserve it and everybody that passes this place up are robbing themselves of a PHENOMENAL dining experience. Some employees are brand new though, so pretty please be patient with them. They are having some renovations at the moment as well, but there's still plenty of seating. Btw please excuse the pictures of partially eaten food, we couldn't resist. My only real complaint is that they were out of some ingredients for some mixed drinks, but that's hardly worth even mentioning.

The food was great, I ordered the sopes and they were good. The service was a totally different story. My waiter was really nonchalant and I went about 15 minutes with an empty drink. I would constantly see him in the corner booth with his phone sipping on what looked like a ALCOHOLIC DRINK. 5 Minutes later he finally decided to get off of his phone and ask if i needed anything. I’ve ate here about 3 times. Before you eat here make sure to ask for one of the women waiter. They are very friendly and attentive. My first and definitely last experience with the one and only male waiter was terrible and if he’s the only waiter there like today, I will definitely order to go or dine in somewhere else. In conclusion the food was great but the service could definitely be a lot better.

My husband and I both ordered tacos and they were pretty good! We got chicken tacos and I always try the chicken itself anytime i go anywhere and the seasoning was on point, I also ordered spicy salsa on the side since I LOVE spiciness and the red one is super spicy compared to other restaurants.

Popped in here for a quick lunch. Service was OK and the food was all right. I had a burrito and a couple of corn steak tacos. Could use a little additional seasoning and maybe a little char in the steak but it was OK.

The BEST traditional tacos I’ve had. The meat was perfectly cooked, the tortillas were richly flavored, and the accompanying salsas as fiery as they were flavorful! I wish we had a restaurant this great closer to home. Keep up the great work. Worth the short drive from the highway.
