Wasabi Japanese Steak House

Our chef was T he is the best hibachi chef I have seen. Food was great show was the best and prices reasonable. Try this place it is the best in Murfreesboro

I've not visited in several months and the food quality and wait staff was short handed. We waited to be greeted for more than 5 minutes. It was lunch time and there were other parties that came in behind us. With only 1 waitress to tend to all the dine in patrons. It was a full house our orders and food/ beverages and salads/soups at the same time. The quality of food has gone down. The vegetables were mainly onions, the rice wasn't fried, the lobster was imitation and the quantity of portions was considerable less then past visits. We ordered sushi and it was edible. The chef went overboard with yum yum sauce to the point of me having to dig the sushi out of the sauce.

Good not great, that's how I would describe Wasabi. When we walked in the door, we were not even greeted. There was a host, he just didnt care to acknowledge people. Once we were seated it was an alright experience, nothing exceptional but not disappointing. And the food was good. Again, good not great is how I would describe Wasabi Steak.

This restaurant is a family favorite and a match made in heaven! It is a hibachi grill where the staff are so polite and the cooks display their skills aside from cooking AND their humor. They celebrate birthdays, holidays, and veterans, so don't be afraid to ask! They have a kids meal and display a fire show on the grill at the beginning. They have a flexible menu and good prices for how much food your getting. I always have leftovers from the place and it still tastes perfect when reheated. The staff mostly consist of employees fluent in English, so, though foreigners, you can still communicate without trouble. The music is trendy, but you can ask to change it as my family has done a few times. They play TV with subtitles, so there is also entertainment. A cool detail to me is that if you consist of only 1 or 2 families, then you can meet and mingle with new people because the tables are so large! I've met a few close friends this way and I find it cool! Overall, I love their chicken and steak dishes as they are perfectly cut, cooked, and seasoned, and they come in large portions. 10/10 would recommend!
