Mack’s Hot Chicken

Great staff and atmosphere. I have eaten there several times. Suggestions for the restaurant. 1. Please reduce the amount of SALT in your seasoning. It is considerably salty when we ordered yesterday (September 24, 2019) 2. Your mac and cheese is good but it has been very clumpy. It needs a smoother texture 3. Make more mac and cheese and greens. Seems that you have run out a few times after 5 PM. Your restaurant is in a location that attracts people from multiple areas. So having this available for dinner is essential. Additionally, I have noticed that the food seems fresher at lunch time. Lastly, please consider adding blue cheese as a dipping sauce.

Overall it was a good Hot Chicken place, although they do a couple things differently. The wings are "jumbo" wings, which I'm pretty sure means they are both pieces combined. Another thing is that they do chicken quarters. So you get a breast/wing or leg/thigh.

Or you can do like I did and get the tenders.

Normal selection of sides. I got the mac & cheese and it was pretty good.

One thing I will mention is that the staff was super friendly!

The service is good, and the staff is really friendly. The food is delicious. The whiting fish sandwich was delicious. The sandwich is 4 large pieces of whiting fish on 2 pieces of white bread. I also got the tenders with the Mack Attack. Next time I will have to get the hottest. It was just not hot enough for me. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is because it took a little longer than I thought that it should have. We will eat at Mack's Hot Chicken again.????????️????????️

I’m a first time customer and I had the whitening sandwich with all the trimmings, fries, banana pudding, fruit tea and one wing ( just so I could try the chicken). Let me tell ya, if you haven’t been, go now. The food is awesome, made fresh, hot and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back. The service was friendly and fast considering they make your food to order. Definitely a new hot spot in Smyrna. I’m impressed!

The food is always hot & fresh. They also have a small section for dessert. The banana pudding is good, it goes really fast. Your fried fish can be spicy, mild, or regular flavor. You have a choice of Whiting or Catfish. Their chicken is also good but my preference is fish.
