“My husband and I stopped by this afternoon without really knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was elevated southern comfort food; refined and delicious. We shared the southern poutine and champagne chicken macaroni and cheese followed by the banana pudding beignets. The owners were so welcoming and the atmosphere was charming. My husband is already hoping to go back tomorrow. Do yourself a favor and check them out!”

“My husband and I really enjoyed our food and the whole visit! Wings are great. The Buffalo is hot. (He said if you ask he will make a mild) BBQ is really tasty! Onion rings are crispy. The house made blue cheese dressing was excellent! Excellent service and the owner came out and offered up some Asian sauce for us that is a popular wing flavor and it was very good and unique. The experience was great! Parking wasn’t bad. We look forward to going back soon!”

“This is a new gem and well worth the drive. We are huge fans of the small plate and took full advantage of their tasting portions. We tried their duck, lamb chops, scallop, and tuna entre tastings with the creamed spinach, bourbon glazed carrots, and potatoes. I am usually a well-done meat person, unless it is really good quality meat, then I am willing to try it at the "recommended" temps. The tuna was sushi grade and melted like butter in my mouth, served at a rare/med rare. The duck was the same served at a medium, I also want to add it was the first time I've actually enjoyed duck. The lamb was also good, but I'm just not a lamb fan, my partner said it was very well prepared. All of the sides were good....but get the creamed spinach FOR SURE if you go. Absolutely delicious, creamy, cheesy, and fresh spinach. Because...tasting room....I had the 2oz servings of several of their wines as did my partner. They were all tasty and they had a HUGE wine selection. Their serving method also helps insure their wines do not oxidize allowing for the small tastes without wasting the wine. We also had the sampling of their deserts, trying the bread pudding, flourless chocolate torte, and citrus cheesecake. Again, they did not disappoint. The chocolate torte was so fluffy it was almost like a dense, yet fluffy, moose. The cheesecake creamy with a hint of citrus. But that bread pudding - WOW. Save room for it if nothing else. The service was good, a little inexperienced perhaps, but very friendly. Not quite the level you would expect for the level of the food they served, but still a great experience. We enjoy food and are adventurous, The Tasting Room Smyrna, held up to many culinary adventures we have had in much larger cities like Chicago, Seattle, Miami or Atlanta. To find it on the outskirts of little Smyrna is surprising, a very pleasant surprise.”

“Blackened Chicken sandwich with battered FF. Food was delicious. Order came out in a timely manner and was nice and hot. There was hardly anyone there, I wonder why for a new restaurant? I would have to guess service. While I was setting at the bar, two men walked into the hostess station waiting to get seated, no one showed up and they left. If you don't have someone seating people, move that hostess station out of the way or put a sign up seat yourself. While I was seated at the bar service started out great and then some people the bar tender wanted to chat to came in and then the other side of the bar had to ask for service. Hopefully that get better with more experience. I still think you should try it out.”

“Was in Smyrna today and my daughter had told me about Two Boots Pizza so I decided to give them a try. Met Row (short for Rowena) and she explained to me all of the options available. Love the fact they sell a number of different slices so I decided to try a slice of cheese and a slice of The Newman. The cheese was good and the sauce on the slice was semi-sweet with a solid tomato flavor. Nice amount of cheese complimented the slice so you could enjoy all of the flavors. For a slice of plain old cheese…really good with a nice crispy crust. The Newman slice is their “classic white” meaning no tomato sauce, just cheese with Sopressata and Sweet Italian Sausage. This slice of pizza was exceptional…all of the flavors clicked on this one and the lack of tomato sauce wasn’t missed at all. What impressed me most was the crust on both slices. It had a really nice flavor, crispy, with a tinge of sweetness to it…one of the better crusts I have had in a long time and it was easy to “fold” when eating. I asked Row if there was a special ingredient and she told me corn meal…WOW!!! Overall…really good pizza, some interesting topping options (Italian versus Creole), good pricing for a large slice, and great service.”
