Smoky Mountain Trout House

Good food, good service. I would get the blackened trout next time however. I had the smoked trout. The trout fritters were real good with the dill sauce. The homemade potatoe chips were the best! The fried pickles were good too.

We got to the restaurant around 7 and it was super easy getting a table for four. The atmosphere was great and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Our server, Trudy, was amazing! The food was so so good, everything tasted very fresh and homemade.

Quaint. Sweet server. Delicious hush puppies and homemade potato chips. I don't like bones in my fish, and we had a few in each trout, but the fish was delicious. We finished with Key Lime Pie. Again, delicious. The biggest downside was $$$. We didn't think the meal warranted the bill and I don't know that we will return. That's a shame because it was tasty.

We arrived a little after 6:00 and had no problem getting a table for 2. Trudy was an awesome server! I ordered the grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and my husband ordered the blackened trout. Both meals were delicious! The chicken had a wonderful flavor and was not dry. The homemade hush puppies and chips were great to munch on. It was our anniversary so the waitress gave us free slices of pie. The key lime pie was so good with a homemade crust. We will return when we visit again!

Parking always available across the street. The food is wonderful and the complimentary extras (hush puppies and home made kettle cooked chips) are delicious. Very juicy fish and the green beans and mashed potatoes that I got lived up to that standard.
The staff was very kind and respectful, and in my opinion, nothing was wrong with this restaurant.
